WHA's board has been diligently looking for a new subsidy solution that will allow us to rehabilitate Mountain View Manor with the least disruption possible to residents. The board elected to pursue a Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) / Section 18 blend because it provides the highest resident protections while also maximizing the subsidy that WHA can receive from the federal government in order to re-invest in Mountain View Manor. Residents will continue to pay no more than 30% of their income towards rent. For more information about the RAD blend process, please see this Resident RAD Fact Sheet (PDF format). There are also multiple physical copies of this document available to check out from the MVM main office.
We will also be holding two resident meetings in the coming weeks to discuss the RAD process more with residents.
